Sobea Irfan
MD/Principal Solicitor
Sobea is owner and managing director of Bank Solicitors Limited.
Sobea has been a qualified solicitor for over 26 years and her career has predominantly focused on property law and divorce litigation. She has spent most of her career at large Legal 500 practices and firms ranked by Chambers as amongst the best in the UK.
Sobea has also achieved expertise in advising on tax matters whether that is part of divorce proceedings, property dealings, or in ensuring tax planning is undertaken when creating Wills where there are significant assets.
Sobea’s focus is always on asset protection and ensures this is reflected in all of her advice.
Her holistic approach to matters to ensure the entire aspect of the law is applied to a client’s matter has given her the edge over local practices and has been the driving force behind the success of her firm.
Sobea’s reason for setting up the practice was to provide local clients with a “city service” without the “city price tag”. For these reasons, she has instilled client care as a primary objective for all of her firms to practice, which is reflected in the impressive reviews left for each of the three branches on Google.
Sobea is a member of the following:
1. The Association of Lawyers for Children;
2. Senior Reporting Office for the CQS (Conveyancing Quality Scheme) accreditation from The Law Society;
3. A local (invitation only) Redditch Business Leaders Organisation that assists in the general development of the wellbeing of the town.
4. She is the founder of Redditch and Bromsgrove Women in Business Club which holds events throughout the year;
5. She is a Mentor for the local schools to assist in providing younger people with advice to inspire and motivate them;
6. A member of the Redditch Business Over Breakfast club.
7. She is the winner of the Redditch Achievement in Business Award in 2017 organised by Unison and Redditch Borough Council.
8. She has previously assisted charities in particular Primrose Hospice to raise money and assist with their Wills Week. She has also been an advocate for Onside Advocacy which provides free legal advice for vulnerable members of the community
